Do not stop on off ramps or at the side of the road for any reason UNLESS it is a true emergency. A true emergency requires you to set out your emergency triangles. Stopping alongside the road to read or send a Qualcomm message, make a phone call or to grab a snack is illegal and against company policy and common sense. Many severe accidents have happened when people have stopped along the road, even for a few seconds. If you must stop, find a safe and legal place. The side of the road/ramp is not a safe and legal place.
